This role also illustrates a common theme I noticed going thru these movies. Meryl chooses some wonderfully feminist roles. In some cases that just means that it’s a fully developed three dimensional characters, but in cases like The Post, the character herself is a symbol of what women can achieve and what we’ve accomplished.
